July 3 Dubois WY
Going to be a short post because of network problems. I have not been able to upload photos today.
We crossed the continetal divide at 9,500+ ft. Long way up to get there, view was fantastic.
Hour long delay because of road construction was frustrating. All was forgotten when we got to the downhill. 20 miles of nearly all downhill. Janel was feeling very good and led all the way. She did a great job as she has a fear of heights (some of the cliffs on the roadside are quite high) stayed steady and enjoyed the skills she is learning.
today is mostly downhill off the mountains 70 miles July 4, then a flat 120 miles july 5 to Casper wy and a rest day.
Hope I can post this
Sam
Now that you mention it, the technology really has been amazing. Thanks for your persistence in sending the post. It would be like not getting the paper before leaving for work if we don't know where you are. It surprises me how you have captured the ride and taken us along. So cool. Have a great ride today and enjoy America on the 4th. lup
ReplyDeleteHi Sam,
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you are seeing incredible scenery! It is 103 here and I don't want to think about the heat index. May you have a good 4th and a great ride
Love,
Joan
Heh Sam...Gary and I are finally set up to post on your blog. It's the 4th and we are heading over to the park for the fireworks in a few minutes. My son in law helped me to get set up. Will drop you a line later...it's 98 and we are sweating!!! Keep up the good work...enjoyed seeing the pictures.
